Use it as a warm-up for the Amica Insurance Seattle Marathon and Half Marathon, or create a fun, family outing to burn off some of those Thanksgiving Day calories. Treat your out-of-town guests to stunning views of Seattle while doing something healthy for the entire family.
|SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 29||START TIME|
|5k Run & Walk||8:30am|
This year’s USATF-certified course starts at 5th Avenue & Harrison Street near the Experience Music Project, travels south down 5th Avenue, turns right on Cedar Street, turns left on 2nd Avenue, continues down 2nd Avenue until the turnaround point at University Street, then heads back up 2nd, travels through Seattle Center and turns right on Mercer Street and right on 4th Avenue, then finishes in Memorial Stadium.
Seattle Center – 5th Avenue and Harrison Street, northeast of the Experience Music Project
The ADA-compliant course is wheelchair- and stroller-friendly. We ask that walkers and parties with strollers start toward the end of the line to reduce crowding and allow runners to achieve their best time. Wheelchair and handcrank participants will start a few minutes before the rest of the 5K participants.
Clothing check is located by the bib & chip packet pickup and day-of-race registration area near 5th Ave & Harrison St. Clothing Check will be available to race participants starting at 7:00am. Bags will be available for you to put your belongings in, and all bags must be clearly marked with your bib number. They will be available for pick up inside Memorial Stadium. Under no circumstances should you bring valuables, as the Seattle Marathon Association is not responsible for lost or stolen articles. Clothing check bags that are left behind may be claimed at the Seattle Marathon Association office after December 1st.
T-SHIRTS & GOODY BAGS
All finishers receive a complimentary short sleeve, Saucony t-shirt and goody bag. Finishers pick up their t-shirt and goody bag after the race.
Unofficial results will be posted near the finish line as soon as they are available. A complete listing of official results will be posted at www.seattlemarathon.org shortly after the race.
The race is timed using ChronoTrack tag technology on a USATF-certified course. Your tag is incorporated into your bib. Your results cannot be posted unless the bib and tag is worn in the proper manner. For more info and instructions on proper tag use, see the Timing page.
