When is the Seattle Marathon 5K Race?

What is the date for next year’s race?

The 5K Race is the Saturday following Thanksgiving. The 2015 race is November 28, 2015.

How long is the 5K Race?

It’s 5 kilometers, which is 3.1 miles.

What happens if I become injured after I enter and cannot participate?

There are no medical comps, rollovers or refunds, nor can you transfer your registration to another person.

Can I register at EXPO?

Yes. 5K registration is available at EXPO on Friday Nov 28th from 11am-8pm. The price is $40.

Can I register day-of-race?

Yes! Day-of-race registration is from 7am to 8:30am at the start line at 5th Ave & Harrison St. The price is $45.

Can I walk?

Yes! Walkers are welcome. We ask that you start closer to the back of the line to allow runners to make their best time.

Can I bring my stroller/dog/iPod?

Strollers, wheelchairs and mp3 players are welcome. Dogs are not allowed. We ask that parties with strollers start near the back of the line to allow runners to make their best time.

What about parking and transportation?

The Seattle Marathon Association does not provide transportation to the Start Line from The Westin Seattle. Local pay lots and street parking are available at or near the Seattle Center. The parking garage at Fourth and Mercer will open at 5:45am. Be sure to allow time to park and to pick up your bib & chip packet or to register. Seattle Center Monorail

The Seattle Center Monorail will open early at 7:30am on Saturday, November 29th. The Monorail provides fast, direct transportation between Westlake Center Mall and Seattle Center. To access the Monorail on race day, please use the stairwell/elevator entrance on 5th Avenue between Pine Street and Olive Way (across the street from Nordstrom, under the Monorail beams). The Monorail is CASH ONLY. Adult one-way is $2.25, adult roundtrip is $4.50. For more information, please visit: SeattleMonorail.com.

Is clothing check available?

Yes! Clothing check is located by the bib & chip packet pickup and day-of-race registration area near 5th & Harrison. Clothing Check will be available to race participants starting at 7:00am. Bags will be available for you to put your belongings in, and all bags must be clearly marked with your bib number. They will be available for pick up inside Memorial Stadium. Under no circumstances should you bring valuables, as the Seattle Marathon Association is not responsible for lost or stolen articles. Clothing check bags that are left behind may be claimed at the Seattle Marathon Association office after December 1st.
